Sunset Reef St. Kitts and Drop Anchor Grill are operated by DDM Properties Ltd. (“Sunset Reef,” “Drop Anchor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate www.sunsetreefstkitts.com and the Drop Anchor Grill website at www.dropanchorgrill.com. We use your personal information to serve you well and to run the resort and restaurant safely. We aim not to use Personal Data in a way you would reasonably be unaware of or object to. For the avoidance of doubt, our use of your personal data, will at all times adhere to the laws of St Kitts & Nevis, the place of business of Sunset Reef St. Kitts and Drop Anchor Grill.

This policy applies to guests, diners, website visitors, and people who contact us, whether information is given orally, electronically, or in writing. By using our websites, reserve a table, or book now, or Book your stay, you acknowledge this policy. Some uses (for example marketing emails) only happen if you opt in or if the law otherwise permits, and you can opt out at any time.

While using our websites or reserve a table, or book now, or Book your stay, we may collect information that can identify you or is needed to reserve accommodations, a table at Drop Anchor Grill, or other services (“Personal Data”). This may include:

  • First and last name
  • Email address and telephone number
  • Mailing or billing address
  • Payment and billing details, when you make a booking
  • Names and details of other guests in your party, including ages of children where relevant to the stay
  • Travel dates, suite preferences, arrival information, and special requests (inclusive of but not limited to dietary preferences, food allergies, accessibility, celebrations)
  • Identification details required for check-in or local registration
  • The content of emails, messages, calls, and reservation notes

If you book through a third party — for example Airbnb, a travel advisor, a GDS/Synxis or similar engine, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, or a restaurant reservation platform used for Drop Anchor Grill — that partner collects information under its own policy and shares with us what we need to fulfill the reservation. We are not responsible for and cannot give assurances for and on behalf of these third party as to how they use of your information and can only give assurances for our own use of the information.

  • prevent fraud, protect guests and staff, and secure the property; and

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by emailing us. Marketing lists are used only for Sunset Reef and Drop Anchor Grill purposes or a joint promotion with a partner we name at the time.

  • with authorities when required by St. Kitts and Nevis law or other applicable law, or to protect our rights and property;
  • with professional advisors; and
  • with anyone you ask us to share with (for example a travel companion or planner).

Your Personal Data may be processed on computers in St. Kitts and Nevis, Canada, the United States, and other countries where our providers operate. Data-protection laws there may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.

The security of your Personal Data is important to us. The website is served over HTTPS. Access to guest and reservation systems is limited to people who need it for their work and who are required to keep the information confidential.

Card payments are encrypted in transit. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored in ordinary resort systems. If you prefer not to enter card details online, you may book by telephone at +1 869-468-2154 or toll-free +1 877-688-7333.

No method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We use commercially reasonable measures, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete Personal Data we hold about you, or to stop marketing messages. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights including but not limited to:

  • EEA/UK (GDPR): access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We process data to perform a contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating a safe resort and improving services, where you consent, and to meet legal duties.
  • California and similar U.S. state laws: request to know, delete, or correct Personal Data and to limit use of sensitive Personal Data, without discrimination. We do not sell or share Personal Data as those terms are defined under California law.
  • Canada: request access and correction under applicable federal and provincial privacy law.

Our websites and booking tools are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data online from individuals under 18 without appropriate adult consent.
